Donors Get Schools Resources, Testimonial From A Special Education Teacher

PeaceMaker donors allowed our school to utilize a variety of wonderful and worthwhile resources. These resources benefit our school’s anti-bullying program greatly. Our school social worker has been able to bring in resources such as The Ned Show and Climb Theatre to come talk to our students. These engaging speakers talk about anti-bullying lessons that tie in with our Second Step social emotional learning curriculum and the daily Rusty May character education videos that our school uses.

Our school social worker takes all of the wonderful information that these programs provide and talks to each classroom on a regular basis about bullying; she talks about what it is, what it looks like, what to do when you encounter it, how to get help and how to stand up for yourself. Our students are taught great skills and given the tools to build an anti-bullying community within our school.

All of these programs have worked together so nicely to foster a healthy, happy and safe environment within our school. And all of these are made possible by the PeaceMaker grant. Our school greatly benefits from the anti-bullying resources and curriculums that we are able to utilize.
