Kiara Johnson-Glass

Peace Guide- Kaposia Education Center

Kiara worked in the mental health field for 15 years, supporting adults and youth with various abilities. She started working directly with students in 2017 at Brightwater Montessori Elementary where she navigated multiple roles as part of the Student Success and Support Team. She worked closely with the student social worker, helping her to facilitate social group meetings, including friendship and leadership groups and courage circles. This work sparked enthusiasm and aspiration in Kiara as she experienced the joy of seeing children blossom and gain confidence in themselves and in their relationships. 

She and her husband have 4 children, all in different phases of the education system. Kiara is inspired by the potential of healthy communities! She believes that pouring into youth – in a positive and empowering way – is key to creating healthier social environments. She aims to spread peace, bring creativity, and foster collaboration.
