Become a Corporate Partner for Bullying Prevention
Conflict didn't disappear when your team grew up. It just moved into meeting rooms, inboxes, and group chats — and most companies are told to figure it out on their own. Your partnership teaches those same skills to Minnesota children and youth, K through 8, through Peace Guides, and to the adults in the room, through the Peaceful Pen. The difference shows up in a real classroom and a real meeting, not a press release.

The Conflict Your Team Was Never Trained For
PeaceMaker Minnesota has spent 28 years teaching children and youth empathy, reflective listening, and conflict resolution — the exact skills a lot of grown teams are still missing. A corporate partnership puts those skills to work twice: once in a Minnesota classroom and once in your workplace, if you want them there too.
Through the Peaceful Pen, we bring bullying prevention training built for Minnesota businesses directly to your team — reflective listening and communication skills for the disagreements that actually happen in your meetings and your inbox, not another mandatory compliance module nobody remembers by Friday.
Kids aren’t the only ones who never learned how to disagree well. Most adults weren’t taught either — they just got older and started calling it a ‘communication problem’ instead.
Four Ways to Become a Corporate Partner
Every business gives differently, so pick the structure that already fits how yours works.
Program Sponsorship
This isn’t about where your logo shows up — it’s about being able to point to something real and say I did that. A fourth grader who finally has words for what bullying felt like. A classroom that already knows how to work through a disagreement without an adult refereeing it. Your gift attaches to a specific program, not a general fund, so the difference isn’t abstract — it’s a kid, a classroom, a school you chose.
Matching Funds
When people hear that bullying can be stopped and conflict resolution taught, they give. A matching commitment multiplies what your community already believes in — every dollar they give, you give too.
Direct Donation
The simplest way to say yes. No multi-year commitment, no strings attached — any level, given once or on whatever schedule your budget cycle allows.
Build a Fund
PeaceMaker’s work is funded one year at a time — which means the difference it makes could stop the year the funding does. A Build a Fund gift makes that difference permanent for a community: the same support, waiting for whichever student needs it, year after year.
Give Your Team's Time, Not Just Your Budget
Sponsorship doesn't have to stop at a check. Bring the Peaceful Pen in-house for a team training day, run an in-house employee fundraiser for PeaceMaker Minnesota, or connect us with an organization serving people with developmental disabilities — their participants take on paid, meaningful work as Ambassadors for Respect, leading bullying-prevention lessons in fourth-grade classrooms and building real leadership experience.
What a Gift Makes Possible
Every level funds something specific and real — not a general operating line. The programs below reach children and youth from kindergarten through eighth grade, from a single classroom visit to a Peace Guide's ongoing one-on-one work.
One Ambassadors for Respect presentation, or Books for Peacemakers for a full classroom.
A storyteller for two classroom discussions, or half a Safe School Initiatives grant.
Four Ambassadors for Respect presentations for four classrooms, or a new school reached.
A Peace Guide, half-time, for a full month — or two new schools reached.
What a Partner Organization Says
I support PeaceMaker Minnesota because I feel the mission is so critical. Bullying is at the root of so much personal trauma that has a spiraling negative impact in our society. By addressing it early on with young students in the schools, we can prevent small problems from becoming so many big ones. I can’t think of more important mission, and I thank PeaceMaker for truly doing God’s good work.
Partnership Questions
-
Email Dan McNeil at dmcneil@peacemakermn.org or call 651-631.1604. He'll walk through which structure — Program Sponsorship, Matching Funds, Direct Donation, or Build a Fund — fits how your business already gives, and which program or school you'd like your gift tied to.
-
Something specific, always — never a line item you'll never see again. A classroom presentation, a Safe School Initiatives grant, a Peace Guide's time, or a new school reached: the kind of difference you can trace back to your gift, even if your name never ends up on it. See the gift table above for what each level makes possible.
-
Yes. Direct Donation has no minimum and no multi-year commitment — the four structures above scale from a single small gift to an ongoing, named sponsorship.
-
There's more than one way to get involved beyond a gift. On the hands-on side: join PeaceMaker's board, take on administrative volunteer work, or help start a fundraiser. On the program side: bring the Peaceful Pen in-house as a team training series, or connect us with an organization serving people with developmental disabilities whose participants can join as Ambassadors for Respect.
-
PeaceMaker is recognized as Meeting Standards by the Charities Review Council and holds a 2026 Gold Transparency rating from Candid — the two most common checks a business does before approving a sponsorship.
