Isabelle Aubry
Peace Guide, Notre Ecole French Immersion School

Isabelle Aubry has spent more than two decades building trust across languages and cultures — in classrooms, in customer service, and now as a Peace Guide at Notre École, a French Immersion STEAM school.

She earned her degree in French Language and Literature Education from Stetson University, graduated on the Dean’s List, and received the university’s Award of Outstanding Senior; she later studied psychology at Daytona Beach Community College. For 13 years, she taught French to grades 9 through 12 in the Volusia County School District, adapting her lessons for both in-person and virtual classrooms. Alongside teaching, she spent years as a bilingual customer service professional, training new employees and helping French-speaking customers feel understood.

More recently, a season of caregiving for a loved one deepened her patience, resilience, and ability to stay steady in a crisis — qualities she now brings to her students every day. Known to them as Madame Aubry, she works to build trust between kids and the adults in their lives, and to give every student a safe space to share what they need, believe, and hope for.
